Currently living in Luanda, Angola, Hugo has is an integral part of Generation 80, an indepent Audio-Visual production company that has producing comercial and Art Video and Photography for the past 3 years. “When given the challenge of producing an Angolan portrait for Identity in Israel, a brotherly country that has shared so many of Angola’s Challenges but at the same time is so different and far away from us, I wanted to put an emphasis on introduction, in making a presentation of her and her current narrative to my new Israeli friends. In some form of search of today’s Luanda, I ended up producing two shots that show an Angolan Individual and the face of the City of Luanda (Capital of Angola) simultaneously. This is the end result. Who she perhaps might be in my eyes in these current day and times.

A documentary shot, with potentially some form of social commentary and also a poetic one of ascendance, growth, youth and of beauty that is also my Luanda.”
